Piquillos with tuna and tuna fish
Introduction:
Recipe of piquillo peppers with requeixo and tuna prepared for the Recetas con Requeixo As Neves contest.

Ingredients:
- 6 Piquillo peppers
- Requeixo Cheese
- Canned tuna
- Pesto sauce: 20 basil leaves, 100Gr. Pine nuts, Parmesan cheese to taste, 150 ML. AOVE
Elaboration:
Step by step:
- Drain the liquid from the canned peppers and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the requixo and the drained tuna.
- Add pepper to taste and mix everything together.
- Stuff the peppers generously with a teaspoon.
- For the pesto sauce, we grind all the ingredients to the desired texture.
Serve on a plate:
- Put a bed of pesto on the tray or presentation plate.
- On top of the peppers
- Finish with a little more pesto on top of the peppers.
Suggestions:
- This mixture of requeixo and bonito is also perfect for stuffing rama tomatoes.
- And another tasty idea: Toast a slice of bread, spread it generously on toast and finish with some anchovies on top.
